Stopped in for an early dinner which happened to coincide with the start of their happy hour! The Kama-Rita cocktail was a splendid experience - beautiful blend of turmeric and tamarind with tequila and a coconut rim. The samosas were well-spiced, warm, and had a wonderfully crisp exterior. For entrees, we got the lamb tikka masala and chicken black pepper bhujnee. The sauce in the tikka masala was packed with flavor and very tomato-forward. Our server was friendly and checked on us during our meal. The atmosphere felt upscale yet relaxing. We could tell that the staff take pride in their establishment; I noticed them precisely position silverware and clean less accessible areas of the space during the course of our meal. Would not hesitate to recommend a visit here!

The food was great! We ordered the chicken tikka masala, medium spice. It was quite hot for medium. But that was fine, since we like spicy food. We also ordered lamb with the peppered masala. Which was also great. The service was excellent! The only reason for 4 stars, rather than 5 stars, was the music. It was too hip hoppy, with some rap. This might be typical for modern Indian restaurants. We would have preferred traditional Indian music, or other soft dining music. The music can really affect the ambiance. Since the food was great, we would return. But will likely do take out.

We stumbled upon this place during Labor Day chaos! And omg !! Truly amazing experience!! The ambience is perfect for a date night :) Service is a little slow! Might be due to Labor Day weekend! But the highlight was FOOD!! each and every dish was amazingly tasty including the drinks Must visit if you are around Chicago area.

For the many times that I've been to Chicago, this restaurant tops my list of favourite's here! This fine dine restaurant offers an eclectic menu with some refreshing flavors. Interiors are dark with soft lights and light music. We started with a round of drinks, I got the mango martini and my husband got the Goan old fashioned - both excellent! I could tell the mango martini had fresh mango puree and it was on the sweeter side but I really enjoyed it. For apps, we got the mixed chicken platter - our server told us that this would take some time because it is made to order. Juiciest chicken which myriad flavors - took me to the streets of Mumbai! So good! We also got the lamb chops which melted as we took a bite. For mains, we got the chicken pepper curry and the sea bass - again, very flavorful with the right amount of spice. I'm usually not someone who picks peppery things but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. For dessert, we got the Ras malai and that was probably one of the least sweet Ras malai I've ever had. They were out of the gulab jamun so we tried the coconut kheer brûlée which was also pretty good ( I'm not a kheer person but I liked this). Overall, our meal couldn't have been better. This place checks all the boxes - food, ambiance and service and I highly recommend trying this for your next dinner/date night!

Kama is more than just good food--it's an experience filled with good emotions and a great time! Every visit feels special, and the attention to detail truly makes a difference. Thank you!

I have been to this restaurant thrice. The ambience food and service , everything is just spot on! definitely try their cocktails, they are unique with indian touch.

We ordered the chicken tikka masala, mixed lamb grill tandoori, dal makhani, rice, and garlic naan. My favorite part of the meal was the flavor and tenderness of the chicken in the tikka masala and the lamb chops. I would highly recommend both of those (get the lab chop tandoori, not the mixed)! We also got a side of the dal makhani with a warm, comforting flavor and a touch of spice. The garlic naan had loads of garlic on it but I couldn't taste any! Overall, the food was great and well prepared, but I wish the serving size for the tikka masala was larger, the garlic naan maintained the garlic flavor, and the rice was included. The water was also room temperature but I'm sure they could bring out ice cold water if you asked. The staff was very friendly and the interior of the restaurant was clean and modern. Overall, a great spot, but also pretty pricey.

Outstanding! Everything you've read about in reviews is true, so I'm not going to waste time explaining. You can take the BNSF straight there from the city or suburbs- great service, food taste very good, enough for leftovers the next day and filling. Service is so friendly and willing to explain if you need help. Didn't taste like a wannabe, it was fabulous.

Upscale Indian restaurant that's perfect for date night!! The Tandoori Lamb Chop appetizer was to die for - the lamb was so tender and the sauce 10/10. Service was a little slow on drinks and it's important to note that the mango martini was more like a mango smoothie. But overall, the food was extremely flavorful and I can't wait to go back :)

Great Indian food but pricy at this place in LaGrange. It can really break the bank if you get one of the more expensive entrees that aren't really that big of a portion. Kama Bistro has a few that are a lot more affordable though. Flavors are authentic and you can adjust the heat. There's lots of things for vegetarians and healthy options. Came at lunch and it wasn't busy. It seems like it would be a more popular place for dinner. This is because of the sky high prices. Cheapest entrees are about $17, and there's some that are like $40 or more. Of course we got the cheaper stuff. I got Spinach Masala, which came with a protein choice. The Channa Chickpeas is one for vegetarians, and meat eaters can get chicken or whatever. In this item, there was coarse ground spinach, seasoned with chili flavors, dill, fenugreek, and garlic. This also includes a side of basmati rice. Here you can get kind of expensive or very expensive. It also has weekly specials on stuff like appetizers and smaller things. There's many options for vegans and vegetarians.
